The Space between Terroir and the Tao of Food
Happy to be where we belong.
Together. FoodLove Friends.
Here are some of our photos of food from Instagram.
See Saucy Boy bake. See Saucy Girl and Saucy Boy cook. See them dream, bake, cook, and make art.
Dream
It all begins with our love affair with pastries. Saucy Boy and I are like yin and yang. He’s into sweets. I’m into savory, unless we’re talking pastries. I point out the delights I want to eat, then he designs the flavor and makes it happen. Not too sweet is the key. There are many delights in a dream realized.
Prep
The best cooking might be no cooking. In terms of the Tao, this is one of those easy applications of the principle, “Do nothing, and leave nothing undone.” This is a dip you can prep that is so versatile. You can make a number of dishes with it from an appetizer to a pasta dish. See more photos for more recipes on cooking.
Bake
Comfort. That’s why we bake. When you use your hands to make things, the heart gets stronger, the love transfers into what you do, and it all makes sense. We activate our heart and lung meridians as we knead or roll out the dough. Bake and there will almost always be an eater waiting in the wings.

Love One Another
Say “I love you” with food. It’s the missing, sixth Language of Love.
P.S. The secret is always in the sauce.
